PARTY FOR KINDERGARTEN: This committee plans and facilitates this event which is held the Saturday before school starts at Eakin.

FIRST
DAY OF SCHOOL EVENTS: This committee plans and coordinates the Parent's Welcome Coffee, and provides helpful guidance to new families on the first day of school

EAKIN FALL DINNER AND SILENT AUCTION:
Volunteers will coordinate all aspects of this off-site, adult-only evening that is held in November on a Friday night.
Committees handle solicitation of auction items, musical entertainment, ticket sales, decorating, food and beverage sign-making,
set-up/clean-up and everything else to make this a fun party and productive fund raising event

CARNIVAL:
Organizers create an evening of family "FUN" centered around games and activities, a bake sale and class themed basket auction. This event is scheduled for the spring.

EAKIN
ENTERTAINS: These volunteers arrange the children's performances, organize the international food fair,
coordinate the children's art auction and decorate the location and handle clean up after the event.
This event will be held in late fall or early spring this year.

TEACHER/STAFF APPRECIATION COMMITTE:
Coordinate activities and volunteers throughout the year to show our wonderful teachers and staff how important they are to our children and our school

TEACHER APPRECIATION LUNCHEON:
Plan and secure caterer/menu; design and send invitations, decorate, and coordinate program and gifts.

ROOM
PARENT: At least one parent from each class is needed to work with the teacher to coordinate classroom
needs and to be the liason with other school event chairs to solicit volunteers.

PARENT VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR: A co-chair for this Committee is needed to work with the PTO Volunteer Coordinator as a liason with Class Room Parents to communicate volunteer/fund-raising needs.

KROGER
/HARRIS-TEETER/TARGET/BOX TOP COORDINATOR: Help promote and monitor the Kroger "Gift Card" and Target card use and the Harris-Teeter brand use rebates. Kroger is one of our largest constant revenue producers monthly. This includes promoting the Box Top collection at Eakin.

Help promote and monitor the recycling program. Work to create school and community projects and promote education for environmental awareness.

Help to plan the fall individual and spring individual and class pictures;
including working with the photographer on the day of pictures and helping teachers collect funds

This committee secures the materials needed and solicits the labor to help spruce up the Eakin School campus grounds.

SCHOOL BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE:
works to maintain the physical appearance of the school grounds which may include ongoing weeding,
planting, muclching and clean-up activities.
