I did my undergraduate work in Biology at the University of the South.
I received my Masters in Early Childhood Education from Belmont University. |

long have you been at Eakin? |
|
I have taught at Eakin for a total of six years. However, my years have not been consecutive. |
| Do
you have previous teaching experience? |
|
During my eight years in education, I have taught 6th, 5th and 1st grade. Teaching 1st grade is my true love.

led you to teaching? |
|
After many years of thinking that I would enter a career in medicine, I found my true calling in education. |

is your favorite part of teaching and interacting with children?
Do you have any special interests or what is your favorite part
of the school year? |

I am amazed by all my students on daily basis. I treasure the moments in teaching when
I realize that I have reached my students not only in an academic way but on a much deeper social and emotional level.
I am inspired when my students work together to accomplish something and become aware that they can make a difference in the world.
The spring semester of first grade is very exciting. |

I spend my summers playing guitar and writing songs. I love to run and walk at Radnor Lake.
I also enjoy traveling to the beach and swimming in the ocean. |
